Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does Not Small Digital do?

Not Small Digital helps growing businesses and small marketing teams identify what matters most and move important marketing work forward.

I provide a combination of strategic marketing leadership, project coordination, and hands-on execution support. Depending on what you need, that may mean evaluating your current efforts, creating a practical roadmap, leading priority projects, or providing ongoing fractional marketing support.

How is Not Small Digital different from a traditional marketing agency?

Most agencies specialize in delivering a particular service or managing a specific channel. Not Small Digital takes a broader view of your marketing priorities, team, systems, and resources.

I help determine what deserves attention, create a practical plan, coordinate the people involved, and support the work needed to make progress. I can work independently or alongside your existing team, agencies, freelancers, and vendors.

Do you provide strategy or hands-on execution?

Both.

Some engagements focus on understanding what is slowing progress and determining what should happen next. Others include project leadership and hands-on support with websites, analytics, reporting, SEO, customer experience, marketing operations, campaigns, and other priority initiatives.

The specific mix of leadership and execution depends on the engagement and your business needs.

Who do you typically work with?

Not Small Digital is designed for growing businesses and small marketing teams that need experienced support without immediately adding a full-time marketing leader.

This often includes:

  • Business owners without dedicated marketing leadership
  • Small marketing teams that are stretched thin
  • Organizations coordinating multiple agencies, freelancers, or vendors
  • Teams with important projects that continue to stall
  • Businesses preparing to make a meaningful marketing investment
What if I already have a marketing team?

That is often a great fit.

Your team may not need more ideas or another person producing disconnected deliverables. They may need help setting priorities, leading cross-functional projects, improving processes, or creating the structure needed to move important initiatives forward.

I can provide additional leadership and hands-on support while working within your existing team.

What if I already work with an agency or freelancers?

That is completely fine.

I frequently work alongside agencies, freelancers, developers, and other specialists. My role may include establishing priorities, clarifying responsibilities, coordinating projects, reviewing performance, and ensuring everyone is working toward the same business goals.

How do I know which service is right for me?

You do not need to figure that out before reaching out. Each offer supports a different stage:

  • Marketing Momentum Assessment: A focused, call-free review for identifying immediate roadblocks, opportunities, and the best next step.
  • Marketing Momentum Diagnostic: A 30-day research and analysis engagement for uncovering root causes and building a practical 90-day roadmap.
  • Marketing Momentum Program: A 90-day engagement combining marketing leadership with hands-on support to prioritize and execute important initiatives.
  • Marketing Momentum Partner: Ongoing fractional marketing leadership and execution support for businesses that need continued help.

If you are unsure, tell me what you are working through and I will recommend the option that makes the most sense.

What is the Marketing Momentum Assessment?

The Marketing Momentum Assessment is a paid, call-free review designed to help you understand what is working, what is slowing marketing progress, and where to focus next.

After completing the intake questionnaire, you will receive a personalized Marketing Momentum Snapshot and video walkthrough covering your current strengths, primary roadblocks, top opportunities, and recommended next step.

How long does the Marketing Momentum Assessment take?

Your completed Marketing Momentum Snapshot will be delivered within five business days once your intake questionnaire and any requested supporting information have been received.

The five-day turnaround begins when the complete intake is submitted, rather than when the Assessment is purchased.

What is the difference between the Assessment and the Diagnostic?

The Assessment provides a focused outside perspective based primarily on the information you submit. It is designed to help you identify immediate priorities and decide what to do next.

The Diagnostic is a more comprehensive 30-day engagement involving research, stakeholder input, marketing analysis, root cause evaluation, and resource planning. It concludes with a detailed Diagnostic Report, executive presentation, and customized 90-day roadmap.

What is included in the 90-day Marketing Momentum Program?

The Program combines strategic marketing leadership with hands-on execution support.

We begin by evaluating your current efforts, defining priorities, and building a focused plan. From there, I help lead and support the projects most likely to create meaningful progress over the next 90 days.

Because every business has different needs, the exact priorities and deliverables are defined at the beginning of the engagement.

What does ongoing Partner support look like?

The Marketing Momentum Partner engagement provides fractional marketing leadership and hands-on support on an ongoing basis.

Each month begins with your most important priorities. Support may include strategic guidance, project leadership, agency or vendor coordination, reporting, process improvements, website initiatives, SEO, analytics, customer experience, and other work that needs to move forward.

The engagement is tailored to your team, goals, and available resources.

What industries do you work with?

My experience spans franchise businesses, professional services, e-commerce, retail, consumer brands, and other growing organizations.

My work often involves digital strategy, websites, analytics, SEO, reporting, customer experience, marketing operations, and cross-functional project leadership. Fit is usually determined by the challenge, goals, and working relationship rather than industry alone.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

We may be a good fit if:

  • Marketing feels busy, but meaningful progress is slow
  • Too many priorities are competing for attention
  • Important initiatives continue to get delayed
  • Your team needs additional leadership or hands-on support
  • Agencies, vendors, or internal teams need better coordination
  • You want practical recommendations grounded in your actual business
  • You need help turning priorities into completed work

If that sounds familiar, share what you are working through and I will personally review your submission.
